Without access to the physical hardware, how would you find out the controller variant on an older 7.1 software release? Is there a form that indicates if the controller is an MX/LX, etc? The About window only gives the version.

Thank you.

Thank you. Although that page does not specify the Maintenance form commands, I guessed and typed "platform" which yielded MXe.

Couldn't find 06-5191-00069 either... sorry, I'm not an expert Google searcher :)

I assumed that given you had IP access to the system that you would have the tools and know how to access the Secure Shell to allow the commands given to be used.

It's interesting to know that the Maintenance Command - Platform, performs the same service without all the gobbledegook.

This command is not in the helpfiles nor in any other document I've seen.

I tried accessing via SSH but I think their firewall has that service blocked to their IP, couldn't connect... Good to know I was able to uncover something useful!

Thanks for your help.
