I assume you are talking about what the checksum should be of a file on a FTP server?

It is not possible for anyone to acknowledge truth when their salary depends on them not doing it.

I know of several programs to get the checksum. Are you talking about a "built-in" program, e.g., one that is supplies by Windows?

The FTP utility you are using should already be doing this and warning you of any differences.

OK,that's what I thought.
I did find some freebe checksum utility ,but it works only after I download the file from FTP.
I'd need some command line utility,no GUI.

I assume there is a textfile on the ftp site (usually filename.md5) that holds the checksums you want to verify?
