Get charge card information without charging

I just started using Miva Merchant. My client is used to asking for the card information but then charging manually. Can I do this with Miva? How can I have the credit card information submitted and then emailed in the confirmation without being verified?

You can use the Basic Authentication module included with Merchant, yes. I wouldn't send the information through email, though, unless encrypted.
