Is there any way to get the cell reference that a GetPivotData function is referring to? I have cells that equal GetPivotData from a Pivot Table on another sheet within the workbook. I want to be able to find a way to find the actual cell reference that the function is referring to. Is this at all possible? Thanks in advance.

First question ... why do you want to do this?

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

I want to put a Watch on the cell that it references. Maybe there is a way that I can do this with GetPivotData instead???

Why can't you put a watch on the cell that uses the GETPIVOTDATA? The whole reasoning behind GETPIVOTDATA function is that it will retrieve the required data no matter what the shape of the PivotTable is ... i.e. no matter what cell reference the data is coming from.

Cheers, Glenn.

Take a look at the TableRange1 & Tablerange2 properties of the pivottable.

I haven't looked at the TableRange properties yet but will do so. The reason I want the Watch to be on the cell being referenced is because the referenced cell is in a separate sheet in a workbook of about 30 sheets. With the watch on the referenced cell, I can double-click on that cell in the Watch box and it will take me directly to the cell. Thanks.
