get cell bgcolor excel

Hello,

I'm reading an excel file and putting it with php on the screen. No problem getting the data but is it possible to get the backgroundcolor from each cell? So I can use it in my <td> taggs?

No, I'm not using COM. But doesn't mather. If it's possible with COM I'll change the script.

For the moment I'm using

It's a pre-build excel reader. But I don't think it's possible to get the cell bgcolor.

Sorry to bring this back under your attention, but is it possible? 'Cause a really need to know this. For me it's important.

it should be possible using COM, yes. you need a copy of excel available to the server running the script.

I am not familiar with the phpexcelreader. have you asked the author whether his/her script is extensible to pick up the cell meta-data?
