Get attachments from Exchange?

Hello -

I'm just curious to see if anyone has ever had (or has) any ideas about how one would tap into an Exchange Server and grab message attachments using SSIS and/or .net. I'm just looking for a solution where I don't have to have a mail client (Outlook) running on a server at all times to auto-save attachments to a directory. I would like to just fetch the files on demand.

You can use xp_readmail to pull attachments.

You would have to install outlook and configure SQL Mail.
