I have a report that needs to be printed twice on a 8.5x11 paper. I have been able to get CR (8.5) to print the report twice by adding a new section to the only group footer in the report and inserting the same report into this section as a subreport:

GH1

d

GF1a

GF1b

My problem is that I need the division between GF1a and GF1b to be exactly half way down the page so that when they print it, they can just fold the page in half and cut it. As you can imagine the details section is variable in size, any idea on how to do this?? Thanks.

I'd place the report in the Report Footer.

Right click the Report Footer and select insert section below.

Place the subreport in the second report footer.

A little experimentation is required here, in that you'll need to know the number of rows that make up exactly 1/2 the page.

Then you can insert into a formula into the first report footer such as:

Assuming that you find that it takes 22 rows to hit the halfway point, use:

replicatestring(chr(13),(22-recordnumber))

Make sure that you turn the Can Grow on for this field.

This obviously only works for a one page report.

If you need multiple pages then use the GROUP Footer to emulate the same thing.
