Get a map on a web page

Is there anyway to get a map of a location on a web page besides an image?
 
Yes. You might use a Java applet, or ActiveX control (such as Flash, for example). You might use the Canvas object (if available) to draw one. Another way would be to use SVG or VML or equiavlent to draw one.

And probably more, too.

What are you trying to achieve? It would seem to me that an image would be the best thing to use to display a map.
