Hello there, I was curious if anyone knows what I would use to get a list of all the computer names on a domain. Assume that you have admin priveleges and such... I thought netbios might be of some help but I don't know how to use it.

Thanks for your help,
Martin

download their professional + Suite and use the "Discover MAC Address" tool. This will only show you systems on your local network. If you want the entire network you can choose one of the other tools, I believe all the names of the computers will be listed if you do the MAC Address tool....

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

There is a convenient tool in WinNT4
It is a command NET VIEW.
You'll get a list of computernames, which currently on a domain.

Yep, NET VIEW works along those lines. If you are trying to view the computers in a network, but in a different domain or workgroup, try:
net view /domain:<domain name>

You can also see the shared folders on each computer you see on the net view list, by typing:
net view \\<computer name or ip address>
