We will use an Oracle Server on the network as the backbone for our Gentran. Currently, our other sites map the translations to flat files. Is it possible to map directly to Oracle tables?

I haven't actually done this but I have done some reading for a feasibility study for a future project. We are using Gentran for NT v3.2 and the ODBC Users Guide clearly indicates that it is possible to query and update multiple databases during translation. I suggest you check out the ODBC Users Guide and ODBC Connectivity in the Application Integration Users Guide available at
Regards,

Hugh.

You can map directly to any data source you can point an ODBC connection to. That includes Access, SQL, and Oracle databases.

This is new as of version 3.0.1, and refined a little in 3.1.1.
