Gentran/NT v3.1: one-to-many mapping (from header to detail)

Hi all Gentran/NT gurus,

I need to map an element (N102) from a header level segment
(N1) to either one of two fields (depending on the qualifier N101) on multiple records at detail on the
output side. I think I would be able to do that using
temp storage / extended rules, I would like to see
some examples.

Also, in a higher/header level loop-extended rule, can I refer to temp. storage variables declared in in a lower (detail) level on EDI side (in inboud mapping of EDI file)?

What is the syntax / notation to refer to temp. storage
variables in segments defined deep within loops? Do I need
to refer to all loop/segments names in the path + the variable name?
