A friend of mine has this graphics tablet on a work PC, and they've all just been upgraded to Windows XP Professional (bit late!), and now this graphics tablet doesn't work properly. It "works", but the speed settings are all wrong (moving the device 30cm makes the mouse pointer move 3cm on the screen basically), and the calibration window for the tablet won't open (no error message).

I gave her the link to the latest official drivers but they didn't help. I hate trying to get old hardware to work on new OSs - any ideas?

I would look in Control Panel under "Mouse" and look under "Buttons" and see if the pad is there, maybe you can adjust the speed for the pad independently of the mouse.

She's tried all of that in the control panel unfortunately.

OK....how about running Win98 within XP on a virtual machine like Microsoft's VirtualPC 2007? There will be a little lag but it should work.

I think the software she uses to draw huge design sheets doesn't work on 98 - and also, she isn't an Administrator and getting the IT department to install and set up VPC 2007 that would be near impossible :(
