Genesys T-Server version 6.5.303.03 and Succession 3.0

The Genesys documentation does state that I need T-Server 7.0.2+ to be compatible with Succession 3.0. Does anyone have a scenario where you are still using 6.5 and is it working fine with Succession 3.0? This will be a temporary setup where Genesys is being replaced and I don't want to be forced to upgrade Genesys for only a few weeks. However, I can't run without it.
