Generic Sound Card Drivers?

Is there any "generic drivers" for an onboard sound card in a WIN98 system? A friends computer was reloaded from scratch. I have all the drivers necessary to get all the devices working except the sound card. He doesnt have the drivers and I would like to get it working. Looking in device manager didnt seem to offer much help..

There is a high probability that the sound drivers are on the 98 CD. If not, just go to the web site of the mfg.

if it is generic it should be on the cd if not yes go to the mfg, just pull the model number off the sound card. If its on board go to the motherboard manufacturers website. gl
