We have just switched to an Avaya ip office and we are utilizing a number of queues to route calls. In our previous system we had NFocus monitoring and it would play messages over our house music to alert you have calls. What options do we have to generate either a message or alert tone? Could we plug something in our network that the system could send a signal too?

Hunt Group/ Group> Queueing>

1) Calls In Queue Alarm:
The system can be set to send an alert to a analog specified extension when the number of calls queued for the hunt group reaches the specified threshold.

2)· Calls In Queue Threshold: Default = Off. Range = 1 to 99.
Alerting is triggered when the number of queued calls reaches this threshold. Alerting will stop only when the number of queued calls drops back below this threshold. This value is affected by Normalize Queue Length setting above.

3) Analog Extension to Notify: Default = <None>.
This should be set to the extension number of a user associated with an analog extension. The intention is that this analog extension port should be connected to a loud ringer or other alerting device and so is not used for making or receiving calls. The list will only shown analog extensions that are not members of any hunt group or the queuing alarm target for any other hunt group queue. The alert does not follow user settings such as forwarding, follow me, DND, call coverage, etc or receive ICLID information.

Xima Chronicall can also do this on your wallboard. Then you can use any .wav file you want.

That was left handed.

The one challenge is that our facility is within the park an is not supported by any analog lines of any type - every service to our building is totally over our network.

Xima Wallboard alerts or an angry supervisor with a cowbell and access to system status.

That was left handed.

The phones ring when you have calls, you can use group buttons to show which groups if the screen isn't enough, Chronicall wallboard with audible alerts etc etc :)
