Hi,

I'd like to have dynamic content for my flash website. I load my text from an xml file and this is no problem. But the problem is to insert images in my flash movie. I'd like to have a scrollpane with images and titles (it's for a portfolio). So to express myself, here this example:

1. 3D Studio Max creations
--------------------------
image1.jpg image2.jpg image3.jpg
image4.jpg image5.jpg image6.jpg
image7.jpg

2. Websites
-----------
image1.jpg image2.jpg

The jpg files should be replaced by real images. I get the filenames from the xml file. So I want text and images (clickable) in a scrollpane. What is the best way to do this? Does anyone has a clue? I really don't.

Thanks in advance,
Steven

By the way, the portfolio is located at:

there is a very nice component to be downloaded at

imageweaver is the download you want. it does everything you want from thumbnails, url links, captions, titles, and its all loaded dynamically. even allows user to print the images or download them if you select these options.

for an example with only a few of the features enabled go to

This is a great solution indeed, but the problem is that the portfolio I have to make a schoolwork is, and we are not allowed to use any kind of external stuff. We have to do all the actionscripting by ourselves :-(

But thank you anyway for the very fast reply.

do you need to load the images all at once or one at a time?
different solution depending on which.

All thumbnails at once with the possibility to scroll. When an image is clicked a new browser window opens and shows the image. But it's not only images, but a title also that has to be shown.

Thank you very much. I'll try to figure it out with these great tutorials.
