I am running PowerDesigner 8.0.1.293 and trying to generate "legacy" information from multiple Physical Data Models into a common Conceptual Data Model. However, every time I generate from PDM "A" I lose all of the Entities that I generated from PDM "B" (and vice-versa). I am currently working around the problem by creating an "A" CDM and a "B" CDM and then merging the relevant Entities into the common CDM, but that involves extra steps and extra files. Is this a known behavior of PowerDesigner's? Is there another less cumbersome work-around?

Hello.

Apologies for the delay. I hadn't checked here in a little while.

I create a PDM "A" and generate a CDM from this.

I create a PDM "B" and merge this into the already created CDM. Now I need to deselect eveything first of (click the "Deselect all button". Then select "Select Creation" button. This will only select those entities to be added to CDM and therefore won't delete those entities that are not in the second PDM (if that makes sense).

Regards

Jay
