Generate Phone List for Intranet Site

I have been asked to have a link on our intranet site that will
display a current phone list/directory. I did not know if this
information could be obtained or queried directly from the phone
system itself or if it could generate a report or csv file that
could be posted.

If anyone has had any experience doing this I would appreciate any
help you have to offer.
