Using CR I would like to create blank checks with an incrementing check number. Starting number would come from a database then be incremented by CR to create a new check number. Report continue to run and create a given number of blank checks then terminate.

Problem I am having is getting CR to create the blank checks. I understand a data driven report, but this would be a report that creates multiple pages given a single data value.

Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Ken

What is the maximum number of checks that can be printed at a time? If it's a reasonable number, you could create a details section for each check and turn on New Page After as needed to get the paging correct. The check number would be incremented in each section. If the number of checks is variable based on a parameter passed to the report, you would then put something like this in the suppression formula for sections 2 through n: (assuming parameter is named "Check Count")

{?Check Count} > <section number>

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Also this is the incorrect forum for this type of issue. In the future, try forum767 or forum149.
