Or you could get a font to do it.
I did this years ago using crystal reports. I had to write a crystal reports user defined function to do it as 3of9 required 2 digits to be embedded into one byte e.g. if the value was 12345678 (i.e. 8 bytes), the font would requre four bytes with the values 12 34 56 78 - if you see what I mean.
I point this out as I don't think you can just set the font and give it the value.
What is worth bearing in mind is if you displayed the barcode in the browser the client PC would need the font installing so it might be easier to create and image from the font uiing PHP and displaying that image.
