i'm havin' some problems with the BE... The message "No more data is on the tape" often appears to me, and my backup tape set is not so old. It is a damaged media problem or a BE configuration problem?

Thanks !!!

What version of Backup Exec do you have and build - see help/about in Backup Exec?

hi!!!

Backup Exec 8.5 Rev. 3571

i'm using 40/80GB Quantum DLT drive and DLTTape IV tape sets. The server is a Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP2. I have license for Advanced Server Edition, Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000 Option, OFO.
And the problem persists, same "No more data on tape". I try some different tapes and there's no success.

Thank you for the attention.

This should do the trick, you have two options:

1. Apply the Media Fix

"Unrecognized Media" Hotfix for BENT v7.3 b.2575, v8.0 b.3316 and v8.5 b.3571 ONLY! [ALPHA/INTEL cpu's]

Make sure you follow the directions in the above link carefully. You need to run the MediaFix_234341 -d at the dos prompt to extract the files properly. (just follow the above for details)

2. Download 8.5 build 3572 and install (includes the mediafix mentioned above)

BENT v8.5 build 3572 rc9 (Intel) (English) (SBS Support) Serial # Req.

Cheers and good luck! ::)
