I wonder if anyone can help me with this. We have ISA server set up to allow some software to send and receive information. The company who set it up have also set up the ISA server up as follows
Local pc - one pc IP address on the perimeter (the one that has the software installed)
Local ports - all ports
remote port (a fixed port)
remote pc - all
What I am concerned about is that it seems to allow access to all pcs to all ports on a machine inside our network. I have tried adding two separate outgoing rules to both external IP addresses that the software connects to, but then it cannot connect and times out so I have had to reset it to the above. My worry is that this leaves our network open, but I am also not sure if the fact that a remote port is specified means that everything is ok
Thank you
