Is there something I can do to convince my MySQL server to generate the general query log using 0x0D0A instead of just 0x0A for new lines? I used my favorite Hex Editor to replace every 0x0A with 0x0D0A and, boy, what a difference it was to read using NotePad.

Thanks,
Steve.

Probably considered trivial so there may not be a way of doing this, even if there is it is probably easier to

Either - Convert the file
executables like unix2dos
one liners like perl, awk
write your own
ftp

Or - better still use a better editor
paid for - uedit / editplus
free - notepad++

Yes, I see your point. I experimented with my development tool of choice and found if I read the log into memory and then rewrite it to the hard disc, NotePad reads it correctly.

Thanks!
Steve.
