I am currently running MS Terminal Server over MS PPTP Services. My firewall is a PIX 506. The system works fine with the exception of AOL users, which is an issue unto itself.
My question relates to remote users in other offices that have a firewall in place. Other then the fact that TCP 1723 and GRE traffic need to be allowed to pass by the remote site, does the remote firewall have to be configured with NAT (static 1 to 1) for the workstation that is trying to access my local VPN/RDP server, or can they just plug in and connect using PAT ( 1 to many)?
