Evening all - At a customer site, the receptionist has locked herself out of the gen. mailbox. I went in to reset it the password, and when she tried to access it, it give "login incorrect." Her extension is 103, and is designated as the general mailbox owner. I initilized the password but still get login incorrect. I thought it defaulted back to 1234? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Default is NO password, i.e., just press #. If using Merlin Messaging, the General Mailbox is most likely 9991, not 103.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the mailbox config of 103, and it has a COS of 16. Isn't this COS used for AA mailboxes? I did check the "real" general mailbox of 9991, and the password had been reset to 1234. What would MB 103 be used for in this instance with that COS? They are configure for night service as well, and the system is MLM007.

Calls to 103 would be answered by AA 2.

Sometimes this is handy if you want a certain line (or lines) to be answered by AA2, (or which ever AA).

So, my next question is: Should I check the setup for multiple AA operation and see what line(s)are pointed to 103? And should I check the night service setup as well?103 is the operator extension. Thanks again.
