General Mailbox and Unified Messaging

Good afternoon,

Unity Connection 10.x

I have a general mailbox built with a made up alias. Everything works fine. I have two users that want to get notified when there is a message in the general mailbox. They would like to have email notification. Looking for the best way to accomplish this since I dont thing unified communications will work due to their not being an email accout set up for the general mailbox. Looking for a good quick solution.

Under the account, notification devices. Add the email accounts you need. You also need to have the SMTP Host setup for UCXN for this to work.
