General Ledger Journal Number Rollover

Will there be any problems with the GL journal number rolling over to start at 1 again? I will soon be using the same journal number that my reoccuring journal entries have.

Just to make sure I understand you correctly, are you saying that the "starting journal number" field in company setup is soon to reach a value of 9999?

Yes. It's actually already rolled over and is now on 185. It will soon will reach one of my lowest reoccuring numbers of 586.

I tested in 76100a using RJ0158 for my recurring & leaving co setup defaulted to 0518 for next journal #. The RJ posted fine & the co setup incremented to 0519.

Was this a typo? RJ 0158 versus 0518 as the next journal?

Oops. It was a typo. I used 0518 for both & it worked just fine.
