Hello,

Hopefully this is a simple question. I've searched but haven't found much useful information on it.

IP Office 5.0.(8) with VM Pro.

They have an auto attendant and want messages to be routed to a general delivery mailbox after-hours or if no one gets the call. The manager wants to be notified that there's a message in the general delivery mailbox.

Is there a way to notify him on his phone that's different than getting a regular voicemail, so he can tell the difference?

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

Sure you can
A voicemail can be deliverd in the user or group mailbox and a notification send to a certain email adres

Thanks tlpeter,

Is there any way to light-up a key appearance on his phone, or is sending it to his email the best bet?

Add the user or group to the source numbers and the message light will light . If using visual voice the new user or group will show show messages there as well.

There is only one MWI and no way to light a programmable button.

MWI will tell you there is a message. Visual voice will tell you what box the message is in.

make the mailbox a group and light the message light on any extension you want it to be indicated and in addition you can send the e-mail. You need teh source number entry H<group name> to light the message light at a users phone

Thanks everyone. That's quick.

I got it working using Westi's example. I'm checking into programming visual voice. The customer does use Phone Manager and that divides it out.

Thanks again.

thanks for the star daleblizz

For the visual voice just go to system\voicemail and tick the box
Messages Button Goes to Visual Voice: Default = On, Software level = 4.2+
Visual Voice allows phone users to check their voicemail mailboxes and perform action such as play, delete and forward messages through menus displayed on their phone. By default, on phones with a MESSAGES button, the navigation is via spoken prompts. This option allows that to be replaced by Visual Voice on phones that support Visual Voice menus. For further details see Visual Voice.
