Hi,
We are considering a server consolidation.
The idea of consolidating to a bladeserver was brought up, however we use both Red Hat Linux and Windows 2003.
Is it possible to partition the cpus and disks in order to run two or three or four different operating environments?

Thanks.

why not really shake things up,, and run VMWare,, and run the servers as virtual machines???

I recently downloaded a copy of VM Ware Server and was unimpressed. I realize it was beta however I would not purchase this product in the future unless there were major improvements. Is there a more mature or alternative version available?

We saw the esx server on an IBM blades center,,,and the idea of being able to create, and manage virtual machines, while not having any hardware expense was extremely attractive.
