GeforceFX 5200 problems with Asus A7N8X-E Motherboard

Hi,

I have a Geforce FX 5200 128mb graphics card and an Asus A7N8X-E motherboard, the motherboard is brand new.

Everything was working fine, games ran awesome and such but then i came home from work one day and when i start windows it will work fine for 2 mins then it will lock up, the screen will become garbled, the monitor will turn off and sometimes it even restarts the computer. When windows comes back on it says there is a problem with the graphics drivers, but they were working earlier.

Now heres the wierd part, the computer runs fine with the Windows XP drivers, that it automatically installs. As soon as i install the detinators, it starts to crash.

Any help would be amazingly appreciated.

See if doing a system restore fixes things.

If no luck, then make sure that the existing Nvidia drivers are uninstalled before installing the new ones.

If that does not work, then try the latest drivers, or older drivers if the newest ones do not work.
