GeForce4 MX440 PC to TV settings

I use a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 to provide a clone display as TV out to feed a video signal to an amateur TV transmitter set-up. It works fine. I have today installed a GeForce 4MX440 card in a fellow amateurs PC for the same purpose. When this latter card starts up there is output to TV during boot and early stages of XP loading but when Desktop starts the TV signal is switched off completely. On my system the TV output doesn't appear until Desktop opens.
I cannot see from any settings why this should be. Has anyone any ideas please?

Maybe your TV doesn't handle the resolution you're setting your system with. Did you try changing that?

Not all GeForce cards were capable of doing that; I was never able to get my GeForce2 GTS Pro to output to both a tv & a monitor at the same time.
