I have a geforce 2MX 400 from Gigabyte and I'm trying to install it on a M6TBA ver 1.3 motherboard from Biostar. The manual for the board says only "AGP" and not "2x" or "4x". Their website doesnt list anything but "AGP", even on their brand new motherboards, and they arent interested in answering my e-mails. I can load windows XP in safe mode up to the driver "AGP440". Can this board run the card??? If so how??

The card is backward compatible so will just run at 1X if I'm wrong it shouldn't effect to the card or moby any way so give it a go.
Martin Vote if you found this post helpful please!!

tried to run it, but i cant start windows XP with the card installed. I get a complete lock up, even in safe mode

Check the Biostar website for Bios flash information and what, if any problems, an updated bios may cure.
It could be there is a known problem with either bios flash or AGP drivers both of which may have newer versions that could cure your problem. Martin Vote if you found this post helpful please!!

here's the link to the Bios updates at Biostar.

They dont look like what Im lookng for....I could be wrong I havent tried either for fear of a crash. My XP locks up in safe mode when it tries to load a driver called "AGP440". I dont know if that helps or not
