Hi,
I've seen this problem on newsgroups and am having it myself but no one seems to have a fix. I am running Windows XP Pro with a Nvidia GeForce 2MX card and everytime I play a game it locks up. No matter what the game it will always lock up. I have updated all the drivers and still it locks up. I couldn't find anywhere on the nVidia site to email support.
Does anyone else have this problem and fixed it ?

P.S. It works fine under windows 2000.

Thanks
Jason

Try disabling wallpaper .Set windows resolution from 32bits to 16bits before playing .Shut down uneccesary programs in the systemtray ,even virus sw(often use much resources) .

I can't see that as being a problem because I never did that under w2k. Also , my system is fairly new ( AMD 2500 , 512mg ram etc ...) so I don't see it being an issue.

Very well ,you haven't any to to loose by trying have you .
GF2 isn't longer top of the pop .
And XP use more resources with all the fancy stuff than W2K .
There is a long list of tweaks to go through on the visual stuff to make xp more like W2K on performance.

Use the 30,XX drivers and have better performance than any other driver. The reason the newer ones dont work as well is because there writen to get the best performance out of the current hardware.
