Hello,

I have finally gotten my Mandrake 8.0 distro up and running when I decided to switch out my old ATI Rage IIC with a Geforce 2MX. I downloaded the newest drivers from Nvidia and installed them by the instructions.

However, I get a warning saying that these drivers may conflict with MESA. Now no OpenGL programs will run!
Any idea on how to get MESA back?

I'm pretty new to Linux and don't know all the tricks and lingo so please be easy.

Thanks a lot,
Matt

Now I've reinstalled my old Rage IIc.
I noticed that the Mandrake Software Manager showed many of the Mesa files with a red X next to them so I removed and reinstalled the Mesa rpm.

The software manager now shows all the Mesa files with a green check next to them, but still none of the Mesa dependent programs will run. Any ideas?

Matt
