Ge4 Ti4200 8x AGP - Engineering Release ?

Not 100% sure of the legalities, so i won't mention the card maker here....

I've been having the "Parse Error" / "Hash failure" problem with my rig, when i noticed something odd.

THe G4 bios screen which appears on start-up has thin line..

"Engineering Release - Not for Production Use"

Anyone have any ideas on this ?

Possibly a pre-production GPU bios, a card rushed into production which missed the "general release" version of the bios.
You should be able to upgrade the cards firmware to a later and possibly more mature version which will eliminate this warning and fix possible annomolies into the bargain. Martin.

Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.
