GDK 162 database backup

Hi

Can anyone tell me the correct procedure to take a database backup as i cant afford to lose any switch info.

I will come back with details. But you need the GDK-Admin s/w, and the versions I know of only works with Win2000 PCs.

You can find the s/w for GDK-Admin here:

The program works best with Windows 2000, but try with XP.

In the GDK-Admin you will find a menu for back-up.

2 types of backup should be available.

a)Readable,downloadable via smdr port at PGM62 settings, and PGM80,fk? what you want downloaded?
(Defaulting at 9600-n-8-1, and PGM80 FK9 is favourite).

b)LG GDK Admin software utility, for a *.*.usr download.
This would be uploadable too.

RS232 Lead as 2-2,3-3 & 5-5.
