i am planing to [buy a Sparkle GeForce 6600GT, 128MB, AGP8X, HDTV/DVI] vid card which has GDDR3 memory on it and before i buy it i want to be sure it does not clash with my computers DDR ram on the motherboard...... i just need reasurence. thanks in advanced

Yep, nothing to worry about, the video memory of a graphics card is totally independent from what's in your system.

I think what he is concerned about, is a computer with video "shared" memory. The new card will have it's own BIOS, which will keep it seperate from the system memory.

thank you for your help. i think it is great there are still people who are willing to help people who ask the same questions over and over gainz thanks all!
