Hey Everyone,

Wondering if someone can guide me in the right direction. I need to compile 64 bit binaries using GCC on HP-UX 11.00. The D380 is currently running a 64 bit kernel. The problem is I can't find HP-UX 64 bit GCC. From DSPP:

"The PA-RISC LP64 compiler is installed as /usr/local/pa64/bin/gcc, and will automatically generate LP64 code -- no special arguments need to be passed. "

When I install the gcc depot (gcc-3.3.2-sd-11.00.depot) that HP provides for HP-UX 11.0 it does not create the pa64/bin directory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks eveyone

Hello Brian,

Have a look at for a list of sites where gcc is available. I would imagine that HP have chosen to only make the 32 bit version available for some reason.

Mike,

Thanks for the reply, I will have a look.

Last time I built gcc C compiler you could do it from the bundled K&R C compiler.
