gcc 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake 8.1 ) - Compile problem

Hi everybody

I have
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.1 2.96-0.62mdk)
on the server.
Users get the following error when compiling

I have no idea how to rectify this.Any help appreciated
