Hi,

I've installed the Apache HTTP server on my home PC which is running XP with SP2. I can view the test page on my local machine without any problem but when I try to view it from my work PC I get the following error.

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
Code:
A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.

Please contact the administrator.

This was working briefly and now suddenly just stopped. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

You need to allow port 80 through your firewall (and router, if you have one.)

I have Zonealarm installed on my machine and it's configured to allow Apache to act as a server. I'm running my Apache server on port 8080. As I said this was working and is no longer for some reason. I'm not using a router.

Are you using your IP address or one of the free dynamic dns providers to access it?

Maybe your IP changed and their servers aren't aware of it (this actually happened to me last week...)

I'm using one of the dynamic IP clients. You're right my IP might have changed. I'll look into this. Thanks for the tip.
