I send PRI gateway calls out on LD auth coded trunks and have a bigwig who wishes not to have to enter an auth code. Can I assign certain channels from an MGCP gateway to a certain telephone via CSS and Partitions. I need to know if a PRI can be broken down in CManager 4.0 2a (srb) by channel and specified for use by certain telephones, or do I just need to add a two port VIC gateway for this honcho's long distance?

Gateway is Cisco 3725. VWIC-2MFT-T1
CManager version 4.0 2a(srb)

You can't break a PRI down to the channel level. FXO ports are about your only choice. I am assuming the LD carrier is the one requiring the Access Codes. If you were running CCM 4.1.3 you could set up seperate Route Patterns that either did or did not require the codes.

If your long distance provider requires the autho codes there is no work around but to install a separate circuit just for the executive or all together not use autho codes.

If you are using the call manager for autho codes (FAC) you can create a new CSS with a dial pattern that does not require an FAC code. Then assign that CSS to the execs phone and you are done.
