Hello

I have two ethernet cards in my openBSD firewall. I can go out to internet from the external one, but not from the internal.

This traceroute works:

traceroute -s ip_address_internal_card -g ip_address_external_card ip_address_ADSL_router
(the ADSL router is in the external network)

but doesn't this one :

traceroute -s ip_address_internal_card ip_address_ADSL_router
(when I don't use the external card like a gateway)

Any help will be wellcome.

Thanks a lot

I assume you mean that you can traceroute from the actual box but not from behind it? For IP forwarding you have to enable #net.inet.ip.forwarding=1 # 1=Permit forwarding (routing) of packets in your /etc/sysctl.conf file. YOu may also want to check your /etc/mygate to make sure it has your default GW in it.
