The President of our company has a computer at home. In it are installed AOL, and a dialup to call our server here at work.

Here's my problem.

He can use AOL fine and has know problem getting on the net through AOL.

But, when he dials in to our server, if he has an email with an internet address in it, he cannot go to that site while dialed in. He has to log out of our server and use his AOL account to access the site.

I'm thinking for some reason his computer at home isnt getting the gateway with the DHCP server hands it out when he dials in. He can access our network fine, but just can't access the net.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

(Oh if I put in a manual gateway IP, he can't access the net through the AOL account.)

If he is using VPN through your "Work" dial up ...then he is effectively using your internal network's gateway.. but when using RAS -- sometimes you have to specify your internal DSN servers addresses within the tcp/ip properties of the dial-up connection properties.

So that when he types in an URL -- it knows which server to use to fullfill the request --

NOw this is also providing that you allow NEt Browser while connected thru RAS or VPN.
