Garbled voicemail messages 1

Has anyone experienced very bad quality or garbled voicemail messages? Sometimes whole words are missing from the message. We have had that issue since day one but now more people are complaining about it.

Yes I had this in the pass.
What spec is the voicemail mail PC? what else is the PC doing?

Or defrag the hard disk - worked for me.

Also check the network card is 100M and working in that mode.

We have also struck some issues with third party switches move the VM over to a direct connection to the IPO hub this eliminates a doggy switch port.

All of the above plus check the power saving options on the VM pc.

This problem can also occour if the harddisk is allowed to spin down.

Disable ALL powersaving options on the VM Pc

Just for reference here's the specs for smpatel1

Compaq Proliant ML370 Rackmount
Dual PIII 1.2ghz procs
1 Gb RAM
Raid 1 on two identical 36.4 Compaq drives

And the server only runs IP Office related applications.

Dual processor server, now I have had problems with stuttering voicemail running on dual processor servers, but this was on the Network Alchemy. I have installed ipoffice voicemail on dual processor and quad, without any problems so far.

You may want to check by installing on another PC to test on.

The problem we had with the dual processor with NA voicemail, we had to run on another PC in the end, I think it mite of been something to do with the way the server was handling the processors.

The NIC is set to 100/half. I remember the installer telling me to set it there is that right?
