I am running a Pentium III 500MHz on Win98SE with 384MB RAM. I just bought a new Western Digital 120GB hard drive and broke it up into six partitions. About a week ago, the label for the H: drive showed up as garbled and I clicked on the drive and there were a bunch of screwed-up files in there with garbled names and weird file sizes like "-3536463 bytes."
I reformatted the partition and everything seemed cool, but just last night the same thing happened to my G: drive after I put a CD-ROM in the drive. Then I reformatted it, and this morning, I was copying a CD, and the same thing happened.
What gives?
