I thought the problem was with Eudora and I switched over to Mozilla Thunderbird to find out I was having the exact same problem. I use IE 7 and someone told me that my problem could be with IE. I have tried to research the internet with no success. Can anyone give me an idea obut what is going on...?

Sounds like HTML is turned off, or possibly corrupted on your machine...

check the Internet Connections (control panel) under EXTENDED (or EXPANDED) it is one of the TABS...

there under a long list of checkmarks, see if HTTP 1.1 has both checkmarks under USE HTTP 1.1 OVER PROXY and USE HTTP 1.1 are checked...

other than that I am not able to help any further... and sorry if the directions are not quite on par, since I use a foreign language and retranslating into english is not always correct...

Looks like an attachment got embedded into the email. I have a friend that sends me stuff once in a while and for some reason his ISP (or maybe mine, I use gmail) embeds the attachment (either JPG, or PDF or the likes) in the email. I usually forward the email to my work account and use Outlook to open it. You might see if there was an attachment that was supposed to be in the mail and see how Eudora sees them.

Sorry I couldn't help further with fix but I'd be the cause is an attachment.

Cheers
Rob

The answer is always "PEBKAC!

Yes under the "HTTP 1.1 Settings" both squares have a checkmark.

As far as the attachment that got embedded that is probably what happened but now almost ALL the emails I get come full of that garbage amd sometimes the list of garbage is so long that when I try to scroll down the computer freaks out.

Remember now... this is something that started to happen all on its own, I did not change any settings

does this happen with ALL emails? or just some?

if it is just some, then it is like AZ-Geek mentioned, that the sending ISP has jumbled them...

sorry, could not help further...
