Hi

I have an install to do using Gamma sip trunks going through a Meraki firewall.
I have given the network engineers all the usual port information and advised them
to provide me with an internal address for the Ip Office Lan connection. They have
just advised me that the Meraki doesnt do sip inspection /sip alg. Iam looking for some
advice on how we would get round that in setting up the IP Office so Gamma dont see
the internal addresses.
The ip office is on version 8.1 ( 69 ). Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

M

You don't want SIP ALG, you set the external IP that should be shown in IP Office.

You should upgrade though since a lot has happened with the SIP stack in IPO.

Hi

I have just setup Gamma sip trunks on an Avaya IP Office 8.1 ( 69 ). They are going through a Meraki firewall.

Iam having problems getting the Ip Office to send out the public IP so they are not able to register with Gamma.
In my trace it shows the internal Lan IP of the ip office.

I tried setting the Network topology - Static port bloc - Binding 60 - Public Ip and set the transport to use the required Lan.

Iam going back to site this week to do more testing. Just looking for any advice in getting the ip office to send out the public
ip. I know Gamma dont support stun but could this be an option. I tried setting the stun but nothing populated , this port could
still need opened in the Meraki.

OPTIONS sip:88.215.54.237 SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 172.20.4.1:5060;rport;branch=z9hG4bKbe562f188662c579ba99fd52921efd9e
From: <sip:172.20.4.1>;tag=8ce890befd8a3770
To: <sip:88.215.54.237>

As it stands I cant dial out , can dial in ok but just one way transmission with the external caller able to hear ok not the local site. Has anyone else setup Gamma trunks through a Meraki ?

Any advice appreciated .

Thanks

M

How long have you been dealing with this and not able to figure out basic sip natting?

You set your inbound ports, then you set your outbound rule, I disable ALG as much as possible, and it was the cause of a headache last week for me between a customer and his remote office) having 1 way audio.
