Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone had configured the Enhanced SIP build offered by Gamma and if it was using two separate SIP lines and ARS fallback or one SIP line, multiple IPs.

I'm a little unsure which is best practise in terms of the IPO knowing that the Initial SIP circuit cannot receive the call, or will the binding refresh timer in the Network topology sort this?

The documentation for this isn't great from what i can/can't find.

Thank you in advance for any help or guidance.

I had never actually used it myself even though we have loads of Gamma SIP trunks out there, so I have just set this up on my test SIP trunk.

Yes create 2 x SIP lines, one to the first SBC and one to the second SBC. Give them the same incoming ID on their URIs but different ones for outgoing. Create a main ARS to point to the primary line and a secondary ARS to point to the secondary line, and have the first auto fallback to the second.

Gamma will automatically send calls to the first line unless their SBC is down or your SIP trunk is down in which case it will auto failover to the second SIP trunk.

Took me about 20 minutes (after the 12 hour wait for Gamma to activate it) to test it and confirm the above.
