How can I remove the games from Win2K professional ? Peter Van Eeckhoutte
peter.ve@pandora.be

Most of the games can be removed using the add/remove software of the control pannel. Some games don't appear in this list, usually they have an unistaller. Some don't have that either, usually you can just delete same manually.

I meant the Win2K embedded games...
and no, they are not in the add/remove software panel... Peter Van Eeckhoutte

The quick and dirty method is to delete the executables. If you are in a large environment you could put something in a script to check for the existence of the files and then delete them if they are there.

hi peterve
run the following command at the command prompt

sysocmgr /i: %windir%\inf\sysoc.inf /u:c:\<answer file.txt>

where <answer file> can be any Windows 2000 answer file

the command will parse only the components section of it

example of answer file

[Components]
Paint = off
pinball = off
Solitaire = off

just change the on/off switch to remove certain app/games

hope it helps
