GAL excluding disabled AD users

Hiya

1. Is it possible automatically GAL to not list domain users which are disabled?

2. If not possible, is the option Hide from Exchange address lists on each profile the way to go? That means if I select this option the user wont show in the GAL??
[Because I did that yesterday and still my GAL includes those accounts] - I hit update now (even rebuild) on both entried of RUS + did manually receive of the GAL from my outlook 2003 client]
